university_of_florida.gifBroadly speaking, environmental control includes the greenhouse structure, related equipment, and the day-to-day management decisions that characterize greenhouse crop production. In typical greenhouses, controls are a mix of manual adjustments, timed events, and thermostatically regulated actions. In very sophisticated operations, computers are used. Computerized environmental control allows the integration of the different greenhouse components into an efficient and profitable system.
