Las normas del Codex para frutas y hortalizas frescas juntas con textos afines como el Código de Prácticas de Higiene para las Frutas y Hortalizas Frescas son publicadas en formato compacto para permitir su uso y amplio conocimiento por parte de los gobiernos, las autoridades de reglamentación, las industrias de alimentos y minoristas, y los consumidores. Esta primera edición incluye los textos adoptados por la Comisión del Codex Alimentarius hasta el 2007.

CBI Product Factsheet: Fresh Pomegranates in Germany
As a result of the health benefits associated with pomegranates, the German consumption of pomegranates is increasing. An interesting opportunity for pomegranate exporters lies in exports of ready-to-eat pomegranate arils. Producers in the Southern Hemisphere have the potential to offer pomegranates in the offseason of the Northern Hemisphere, where most pomegranates are produced.
Evaluation of a Kiwifruit Non-Destructive Firmness Sensory
Non-destructive firmness sensors have recently become available for packers and fruit handlers although they demand more information on their performance and reliability. A commercial sensor based on low mass impact has been tested on kiwifruit. Correlation between the firmness index given by the device and Magness-Taylor force was low (r2 = 0.594). Classifications modeled with discriminant analysis showed that it is feasible to sort samples into two firmness groups (96 to 91%), but classification into three classes yields lower scores.
